As a Guild Wars player myself, I'm used to hearing people mention "World of Warcraft" and "gay" in the same sentence. But in the past few months, these conversations have taken on a whole new meaning. On January 12, 2006, Sara Andrews, the owner of the Oz Guild, a group of gamers who teamed up to play the popular online RPG World of Warcraft, was issued an email warning her that she had violated WoW's Terms of Use agreement. She had posted a message recruiting for her guild. In the message, she mentioned that the Oz Guild was 'GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered)-friendly.'
